The Vermont Medical Response Team (VMRT) is a not for profit organization that is dedicated to the delivery of healthcare in disaster ridden locales, and to sustainable healthcare delivery and education in Haiti. This organization is supported by the generosity of the American Federation of Teachers and has been organized by the Vermont Federation of Nurses and Health Professionals. Since its inception in January 2010, VMRT has earned a reputation in the relief world as delivering first rate and compassionate care, and has sent more than 110 Vermonters to a severely under-served population of people.
